Equipment test
The fire equipment must not only be in a good condition, but also tested on a regular basis to pass the Safehotels standard. Alarm systems, sounders and PA systems are tested. Location of the detector heads should not be obstructed. Emergency exit doors are clearly marked and open easily.

It is important that signage, lighting and other information details are in order and maintained. Especially for hotels and conference venues entertaining a high portion of international guests.
