The Global Hotel Security Standard
"The Global Hotel Security Standard"© is a unique method that meets the need for matching hotel and conference security to the demand of business travelers. The assessment tool has been developed over a period of more than two years, in cooperation with Pinkerton Consulting & Investigations.
The standard is designed to meet the demand from travel managers as well as the individual international traveler. The aim has been to set standards that are high and will create a mood of confidence and relaxation among the guests. When a hotel and/or conference venue is audited, over 220 checkpoints up to 480 points are gone through. Depending on the size of the venue, it takes up to two whole days. The hotel and conference venues have to go through the audit once every year, and many venues are spot checked during the year.
